2 lbs. cubed stew beef 2 tsp. thyme or oregano 6 carrots, quartered 4 stalks celery, cut 2" length 2 med. onions, 1/2" slices 6 cups beef broth 1/3 cup all purpose flour
Heat beef in skillet with oil til browned, add spice, salt & pepper to taste. Remove beef and add carrots, onions and celery to skillet. Stir & cook for 5 minutes, place beef back in skillet. Whisk broth & flour together in bowl and add to skillet. Bring to boil, reduce heat. Simmer 45 minutes covered. Uncover & simmer for 10 minutes until meat is tender. Great with mashed potatoes!

Hi Lori,
This sounds so easy and delicious. Never thought of doing it in a skillet. I'll have to try this. My husband would love it. He loves stew.

I change ingredients around time to time but it's pretty easy to make. Just add what you want. Hope you enjoy!
