Ingredients
1 medium or large head cabbage, chopped 1 pgk. Eckridge sausage, sliced 1 large can vegetable broth 2 cups water 1 med. onion, chopped 4 carrots, chopped 4 celery stalks, chopped Salt & Pepper to taste
Add all ingredients to pan except sausage and cook for an hour. Add sausage and simmer for another hour. Best part about this recipe is you can add as much or less of each ingredient you want. The vegetable broth is what makes it. So don't skimp on that.

Ok, you got me with the cabbage. I love cabbage. Wonder if this would be good with Bratwurst? Sounds great. Will have to give this one a try. Thanks for sharing. Deb

Hi Debbie, I think it would be good with the Bratwurst too.

I bet it would be. Might even be good with some of the little smokies. I burned myself out on smoked sausage some years back so I look for creative ways to substitute.
